Bar Lighting
Client: Preston Park Tavern, Brighton - 2006
Interior Lighting Design scheme
Brief: The total transformation of an old mans drinking den into a contemporary gastro pub.
Concept: Working with original features that were unable to be changed, the
lighting design scheme had to be adapted to incorporate the original ceiling features
and electrics. Lighting colours were inspired by art from the owner’s paintings
and bespoke lampshades were commissioned to complement this. A number of different
circuits were wired for different areas, in order to create low-level lighting for
intimacy in the dining area whilst still allowing for a bright, energising and welcoming
bar area. This interior lighting and exterior project demonstrated huge versatility
from Eleni, as the requirements to work within many tight restrictions produced
a scheme the client was extremely happy with.
